Alo will produce Bush Hog’s front loaders for the North American market and at the same time use the capacity at the production facility to manufacture other products.
The agreement has a lot of advantages for Alo. Not only are there synergies in production, but Bush Hog’s product range completes Alo´s current one. The market segment for smaller and cheaper loaders will most likely grow significantly over the coming years and Ålö now has the production facility where these loaders can be produced. North America is also the continent where this market segment is largest and is expected to grow fastest.
Olle Pehrsson, Managing Director and CEO:
-“This agreement gives us a solid platform for continuous expansion in North America. There are many advantages, both financially and environmentally, to produce products close to where the customers are located.” And further: “We are very satisfied that we can move ahead with our strategy to become a full-line supplier of front loaders.” This agreement comes into force in August 09.
Bush Hog is the leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of rotary cutters and other agricultural implements and equipment. Bush Hog’s product line includes rotary cutters, finishing mowers, zero turn mowers, front-end loaders, backhoes, utility vehicles, landscape equipment and a wide variety of other implements.
In 1958, Ålö made a significant contribution to agricultural developments when it created the world’s first quick-attach loader. In those days, Quicke was relatively lightweight (suitable for tractors with a power rating of up to 70 hp). It could be quickly mounted and removed, connected easily to the tractor's hydraulics and made implement changes light work
